Over the course of time, the are certain moments with artwork that mark a shift in direction. These are often very subtle and can only be seen and appreciated in retrospect. Looking back over old sketchbook drawings from just over a year ago, I think this was one of moments. It's difficult to express, but I can see here that the shapes / patterns were beginning to evolve, most noticeably in the addition of linear stripes, something I've built upon more than quite a bit ever since...
So there you go, proof if there need be that the creative act and process is more than one step ahead in terms of its own development. Either that, or I'm just blind to it
